Proof of Vaccination Requirements - October 22, 2021 Update

Today, the Government of Canada announced it would be implementing a national proof of vaccination record for use outside or within Canada. This standardized record is already being used in Nova Scotia and will be coming to other provinces and territories soon.

Effective October 30, 2021, the federal government will also require proof of vaccination to be shown to board a flight in Canada, including domestic flights. People who are not fully vaccinated as of October 30 may still fly but will have to provide a negative COVID-19 test. However, as of November 30, 2021, negative tests will no longer be accepted, and all air travellers will be required to be fully vaccinated.

The Government is also requiring employers in the federally regulated air transportation sector to establish vaccination policies for their employees by October 30. We are proud to support efforts to minimize the spread of COVID-19 through vaccination and we are requiring everyone who works at JA Douglas McCurdy Sydney Airport to be fully vaccinated.

Proof of vaccination will also be required to sit down to eat at McCurdy's Landing restaurant.
